Dear Leif,

I know that there are no "Ripples" in these chips, but they should always remind you of the good times we have.  I am definitely having some T-shirts made up for us all.  What color would you like your "I'm never drinking again" logo plastered too!?!  I miss you much and say a pray every day.  Know that you are always on our minds.  Page and I can't wait to get the Ripple effect when you get
home.

Dear Brad,

Just wanted to send a little bit of So Cal your way.  I know you miss skateboarding, life under the bridge and being a silly kid.  Be leery of chicks who try to ensnare you while you are sk8ing.  You never know what they might dangle in front of you!  I am so glad you are a part of my life now; see what happens when you stand next to a man with a cell phone and tequila!?!  Know that you are in our prays each
and every day.  Can't wait 'til you get home so you can show me all your graffitti under the bridge.

Love Much,

Claudia and Page
from a Marines wife to her husband in Iraq

"You are my love, my world, my everything.
You changed my life from the moment I layed eyes on you. God answered my prayer that I have been praying since I was a little girl to one day marry and spend the rest of my life with a man after God's own heart...a man who will keep me safe, provide for me, protect me, and love me unconditionally. It kills me to not be with you but I know that God will bring us back together to continue our adventurous journey together. I cannot wait to start a family with you. (we are going to have totally hot kids) They will get it after there MOMMY! ha ha
I love you more!
Love your ladybug"

Sorry I haven't written lately, but we have been doing a lot on Haifa St. Happy birthday larry and sorry I couldn't call you on your birthday. Just to let you all know that one of my best friends was killed while we were clearing Haifa st again. Some of you have met him and some know him by name. SSG Leija basically died in my arms while we were trying to stop the bleeding. He was hit in the head by a shooter outside. I am crushed right now and will try to give you all a call soon. Other than that I am doing good. I am going to go now, love you all

Hope you are doing well.  I just wanted to let you know that the supply of chips that you sent to my boyfriend and his unit, arrived safely and have been enjoyed by all!  Thank you so much for doing that for not only me, but for my boyfriend, his unit and all the other Troops that you have supported with your generosity.  You are truly a kind and selfless person and I wish you and your family many blessings.  Thanks again!

Sincerely,
Amy Hill
I can't thank you enough for the chips you sent. It really meant a lot to us that there you care. I must say they were a hit. Good call on the tapatio hot sauce. I attached a picture of my detachment along with this email. We now only have three more months left here. Can't wait to get back to sunny California, and eat some In & Out. From all of us out here, thanks a lot.

You are such a generous man!  When my husband and I stopped by your stand a few weeks ago it was to say "hello" and buy a few packages of chips to take to Marc.  I had no idea you had left a box for him.  We just got back a few days ago so I'm just getting around to telling you how much Marc appreciated them.  He said to tell you that he will send a picture of the whole Platoon when they go back to Iraq in July.  He and Rosalina do not have email any more and I didn't have your mailing address so I am passing along their thanks.  I don't know if you heard or not but Captain Clay Duncan is back here in the U.S.  He got back around mid-February.  I had an email from his wife yesterday and they are being sent to Missouri in August and they are going to have a baby in November.  So all is well with them.  I wish Marc didn't have to go back and he could probably stay home as his shoulder and back are in bad shape but he doesn't want to send his men over there with a "cold" leader.  Marc has trained them and wants to stay with them.  He makes us proud.

Once again Rusty, thanks for all you do for the soldiers.  I'll keep you posted on Marc's stay in Iraq.

Gen Biletski

I received email from you both today and just wanted to say thanks for the kind words but I am no Saint - just a proud Mom of a U.S. Soldier; a Mom who worried and prayed for her son for the year he was gone.  I now pray for you Clay and all the wonderful men and women who are fighting so we at home have the freedom to say almost anything we want.  And believe me, a lot is being said here at home.

I knew you would love those chips and since we are passing out sainthood I think Rusty qualifies.  Rusty you have been such a loyal friend to the soldiers and I agree with Clay.  It's not about politics, it's about the wonderful soldiers doing a great job.  God Bless both of you.

Love and Prayers,

Gen Biletski

Thank you so much for the chips! They were great.  I set them out in our CP (command post) and they were gone in less than 20 minutes.  It isn’t hard with a 177 person company for delicious treats like that to disappear in no time.  You are right, Mrs. Biletski is a Saint! I am truly fortunate to call her a friend.  I am now a big fan and hooked on Rusty’s Chips.  I am sure when I get home I will be placing an on line order or two.

Thank you for being a great American.  It isn’t about the politics, it is about the soldiers that are trying to do their job everyday.  The best feeling is that we are not forgotten about, and with selfless acts like the one you did for me. . . it helps! Thanks again and I will send you a shot of myself with some potato chips flying in the cockpit of a Blackhawk. Thanks again.

Once an Army dude, always an army dude, old or not.

The troops here with G-8, II MEF over here in Fallujah, Iraq want to express extreme gratitude for your delicious taste of home with tapatio you have sent.  We here are comprised of a multinational force with Marines, Soldiers and Navy SeaBees all in one section.  Thank you for your support and know that you have a whole unit protecting what you now serve.

V/R,

Sgt. Santos, J.A.

Greetings from Afghanistan!  My wife, Cindy, is a big fan of your product and often visits your booth at the Orange County Swap Meet.  During one of her recent visits to the swap meet, she told me of your interaction with a unit deployed to Iraq.  She indicated that she could do you one better and would supply you with a squadron photo from Afghanistan. Attached are photos recently taken of my squadron.  You'll need to look carefully, but in the center of the picture are 2 Marines holding a bag of your chips.  Of course, one is myself and the other is also an Orange County resident.  Hopefully you'll be able to magnify the picture and/or crop it to highlight the chips!  This photo was taken just a couple of days ago at 0530L.
After the early morning photo shoot was completed, the chips were had by many...all comments were very favorable! A quick note; many of our Marines are from Orange County.  We are a reserve unit based at Edwards AFB, however, we were formerly based at MCAS El Toro until 1999.  In fact, I led the last flight out of El Toro that year when we displaced to Edwards.
Enjoy the picture, thanks for your support, and perhaps we'll meet sometime upon my return at the swap meet!

Here is our picture with Rusty's chips, or what's left of them. They were great and went fast. I was afraid they were all going to be gone before we could get everyone together for a photo.

This is also a picture in our newly created recreation building/bar. We built the the entire building and the bar. The name is the Camel Toe Lounge. I need to see if I can get one of those neat neon signs made with the name. Do you know anyone in the beverage business that would donate any signs, posters, or other bar paraphanelia?

Thanks again for the chips. I will touch base with you a little later.

Just thought I'd send these photos to you in case you wanted to post them on your website.... this is a group of friends of mine that we all worked together for 20 and 30 years at Emery Worldwide (Air Cargo) and we all retired several years ago and I formed this group so we could all stay in touch.  We call ourselves The ROMEO Club (acronym for Retired Old Men Eating Out) anyway we usually meet once a month for lunch and several times a year we have a BBQ at one of our homes.  The photos I'm sending our from our BBQ held yesterday...I had brought a case of Rusty's Chips along with me and took these photos, hope you enjoy them....I know we all enjoyed the chips!

The photo of girls is our wives and girlfriends enjoying the chips.... we call them the RODEO's  Retired Old Dames Eating Out!

I got the chips in the mail yesterday!  Thank you so much for your generous and delicious gift. I gave most of them out today to the platoon sergeants and will start getting some pictures tomorrow.  The one on the couch is of my 1SG, Supply Sergeant and myself in our Troop Command Post. The other ones are from today.  WE took Rusty’s chips with us on our flight over the unsafe skies of Northern Iraq! We flew around Mosul and Tal Afar today.  I don’t know if you know much about Warrant Officers but I had a senior CW4 who told me that he wanted to be a potato chip model when he gets out of the Army(He is the tall guy with me in my pictures). We had a blast with it. As a matter of fact my crew chiefs ate three of the bags of chips before we got to take any pictures.  They were rummaging through my flight bag and wolfed them down.  I said at least leave me a bag so that we can show Rusty how much we appreciate AND love the chips.

Thanks again for the chips! Hopefully I will have more pictures to share with you the wonderful gift that you gave to me.

I am the person who photographed you huddled up in the blanket in Laguna Beach. I'll send that print along soon.
In the meantime, this image is from the Athabasca Glacier, Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada.
Your chips have replaced "Wise", my old favorites.
